I am Iris Matthews and this is my LIMU Experience.
My life always gravitated toward caring for people. I watched my mother and father care for their aging grandparents and parents, so it was no surprise when I chose a career in healthcare. I have been in the Cardiology field for over 33 years and recently went back to school to get my Masters in health administration. I made that choice to make more money but also to impact an institution by providing a legacy that would outlive me.
I had been a part of other MLM companies to supplement my income over the past twenty years. I knew that the regular nine to five was never going to make me wealthy.
Like many people, I played the lottery thinking one day it was going to be my lucky day. Instead, real life got in the way. I was married with stepchildren and after three years of marriage my stepson committed suicide in our home. His death caused great grief and stress in our household, especially between my spouse and me.
I did not want us to become a statistic, but the blame game and grief overcame us. Eventually I had to move out for my own sanity. As a stepparent I was alienated and suffered the grief of not only losing a stepson but a whole family. My move affected me financially, but I prayed and knew God would provide. Once I moved out, my father developed complications from cancer and I moved him to Georgia to care for him. I was now in school and caring for an ailing parent while also working full time.
It was a blessing that he got to move in with me, but when he passed away two years later, I was left with two additional homes to care for, pay taxes on and repair. I also had my school loan to repay along with my regular bills. I was drowning in debt and stressed out! So I went to my financial planner to review my retirement plan and see if I was on track. After careful review she said “Iris, your money is not going to last you to your projected life expectancy. You have got to do something”.
In September 2018, two of my dear friends Tosha Mobley and Janice Johnson invited me to a LIMU party. Tosha had explained some of the benefits she had gotten from the products and I knew I needed to take better care of myself and lose some weight. Janice and Tosha are women of great integrity and when I saw the business model and witnessed how well they were doing with LIMU, it was a no brainer for me. I wanted in! Maybe this was finally the answer to achieving some of my goals, paying off my debt, easing my stress, and producing residual income. I went back to my financial planner and she said “Iris, I told you that you needed to do something, and I think that something is LIMU. If you do this and are successful at it, you will be set for the rest of your life”. That was all I needed as confirmation that this was the right company and the right time.
Since joining LIMU in September 2018, my health is better, I have lost some weight and inches, and I have more energy. I feel better than I have in a long time and friends and family are noticing. I have already achieved the rank of 10K and I am looking forward to climbing the ranks. I am having the time of my life with my friends, sharing stories, traveling with them, and drinking LIMU!
I now have hope and a better outlook on my future and health, thanks to these two wonderful ladies and leaders. It gives me great joy to introduce people to LIMU and they always tell me “Thank you, you have given my family hope.” I prefer to retire into LIMU versus the 13-15-year plan that I was on. My future looks bright now that I have LIMU. My father used to say, “Iris, one day our ship is going to come in.” Well, he is not here to see it but LIMU is my ship and it is finally going to come in.
SHIP AHOY! My name is Iris and I AM LIMU!
