I am Kim Prestidge, and this is my LIMU Experience.
As I sit here pondering what to write about, and whether my glass is now half-empty or half-full, it occurred to me that my thoughts have been forever altered because of LIMU. I remember 4.5 years ago when we made this huge leap of faith to join LIMU. We had never done Network Marketing. We were dead broke cash-wise, but as our attorney put it, “Not broke enough with the right kind of debt to file bankruptcy.” I was physically very sick, emotionally broken and on the verge of a breakdown or divorce with all hope lost. Pretty much a half-empty glass kind of girl.
But just yesterday, I received my W-2 from LIMU and realized that what we had created over the past years was exactly the direction we were praying for our lives to go in.
While it’s not yet enough to replace a full-time job income, it was still enough monthly to cover a BMW payment, which I would have never done in my previous life. Plus, some fun money so we aren’t touching regular paychecks that pay all the other bills. Total success. Because we had prayed for just that little extra, the “make it to Friday money” and we had it times 10 over! But, LIMU is so much more than that to us, and I took a real look at what else had changed for us since joining. I was astounded!
What I realized is that I have always been different and thought different. I realized that while a traditional 9-to-5 might have brought a check, it still lacked in so many ways. There was no guarantee my job would be there tomorrow, no guarantee my check would be delivered on time, no guarantee that my company or my owner knew my name or even cared if I showed up. I had developed working relationships there, but nothing sustainable that carried over to my home life and my family life. Then it hit me like a ton of bricks.
Yes, we had found a company to help us make that extra income we were looking for, but we found so much more.
We found a company whose owner knows my name, knows if I’m struggling or succeeding, and is always giving me new tools to get better. Someone who has given us a game plan and is always enhancing it to help us win. A company that has never been late with my check, which has given me a plan to succeed and go beyond what I could have accomplished on my own. A group of corporate staff and leaders who don’t tell us how it is, but show us how it is.
I remember the few days before I hit 50K, I was at a party with Senior Vice President Ryan Barson in attendance in Oklahoma and he walked up to me and whispered, “How close are you to 50K tonight and how can I help?” That has never left my mind. I was awestruck he even knew my numbers were so close, and that he wanted to help.
I have seen many come and go since we joined because they did not embrace the true meaning of what we have with LIMU. Is it extra income, sure? But, what I realize now it that LIMU is so much more.
For me, it is a way of life we were praying for. It is a way for us to help ourselves but also be a blessing to others.
We have felt better than we have in years, and it has built relationships that have become family to us. It has shown us what true loyalty and trust is from our owner down to our leaders, all of them who truly have each of our best interests at heart.
It is so rare that we are given such a chance to step back and see that we aren’t yet where we want to be, but we have so many more lives to affect and take with us who feel like we do. We didn’t just buy a business in a box, we bought into the true meaning of hope, trust and a plan. Our lives are already transformed and continue to grow daily. I can truly say I am a glass more than half-full girl now, and I’m filling it up, drinking it in!
