LIMU Receives Prestigious Child Advocate of the Year Award

One of the core values of LIMU has always been to provide opportunity to those in need. In collaboration with many different charitable causes, LIMU has helped countless families and provided resources to distinguished organizations such as the Children’s Home Society of Florida.

In an effort to more directly meet the needs of the less fortunate, LIMU Founder, President and CEO Gary Raser, founded LIMU Gives, a service-oriented charitable initiative, to give back to the community and offer a hand up rather than a handout.

It is with this mind, that we are deeply humbled and delighted to share that LIMU has been honored with the R. David and I. Lorraine Thomas Child Advocate of the Year award by the Central Florida Division of Children’s Home Society. It is the highest honor CHS can give each year, and it is named after the founder of the world-famous Wendy’s restaurants.

A special donor appreciation event was held on November 9, 2017 and the prestigious award was accepted by Justo Nunez, Vice President of LIMU.

In addition to participating in their Back-to-School and Holiday drives, funding from LIMU has helped CHS produce radio and print marketing campaigns for CHS, The Faine House gala, the Perinatal Program and their Turning Lives Around event. More recently, our donations have helped CHS create a thank you video that will be sent to their donors as a more motivating and personalized message for the good they do in the community. All in all, LIMU’s efforts are helping CHS connect more with donors and volunteers, and helping CHS raise even more funds.

Since the day we opened our doors at LIMU, we’ve made it our mission to Be more by giving back and locking arms with a number of charities in our community through our LIMU Gives charitable initiative.

In addition to Children’s Home Society of Florida, LIMU Gives also supports a number of organizations, including the Orlando Union Rescue Mission, Ronald McDonald House Charities, Halifax Urban Ministries, Meals on Wheels, Honor Flight Network, Central Baptist Church and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
