Oh my LIMU life! I’ve never been the luckiest girl in the world. I was a single mom for many years struggling to get by and spent a year weaning myself off welfare and food stamps. I was working 12-hour shifts at a hospital and going to college - there were many days I thought how will I get out of this dark hole? But one things always remained … each day I woke up with HOPE! I’ve always had hope at the core of my being and that stems from the beautiful Christian example of my grandmother. She is now 100 years old and is my very heart and soul. I became a Christian at the side of her bed as a young girl and the Lord has lived inside of me ever since. No matter the circumstances in my life, I have always known the Lord would bring me light, relief and restoration.
I was diagnosed with breast cancer in August of 2013 and I stand here today as a SURVIVOR!! It was one of the darkest moments of my life yet there was that HOPE that I felt and saw in the distance with the Lord tapping me on the shoulder each morning and saying “Get up, I’ve given you this precious day - please live it well.”
I left a job of 11 years in March of this year due to high stress and I was juggling my health against the long hours of the day. One thing I’ve learned through my cancer journey is stress kills and if we don’t make ourselves a priority and live our best life NOW, it will do us in. A month after leaving my job, unsure of what I would do next, LIMU landed in my lap through my dear friend Dr. Kristal Schmidt. I joined LIMU on April 30, 2015 and 2 months later I reached 20K and qualified for my BMW. Now seriously, as I said good things don’t happen to me like this. A little farm girl originally from South Dakota driving a BMW?? Well, it’s true and I love that car - it is fast fun and I’m having the time of my life! My 10-year old granddaughter who spends the summers visiting me said “Gram, this guy at the stop light is checking you out.” I said “No honey, he’s checking out the CAR” HA! Moral of the story: maybe Grammys DO look hot in Beamers!! I reached 50K in August of this year after being in LIMU only 4 months. WOW - pinch me!!
So here I am, once again living with light, relief and restoration given by my Lord Jesus Christ! LIMU has blessed my life with new friendships, finances, fun, purpose, increased energy and wellbeing, but mostly the endless ability to help others. A fulfilled life is found in SERVING others and there is no better way to do that than through LIMU. This company is life-changing and life-giving! We are truly part of a movement sweeping the nation right now, changing one life at a time. I want everyone to know that there is MORE and that they are WORTHY and deserving of great things in this life! Too often we settle for what we know and we become comfortable in mediocrity. I speak from experience folk: LIFE IS TOO SHORT to be stuck in not wanting more out of that life. It should be your mission every day to get up, do more, want more and BE MORE. YOU are a magnificent child of God … Live like it!!
