“Life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you’re going to get.” That has been quite true for our family. You can work and plan your life just how you want it, but in the end, it doesn’t always turn out the way you planned.
I really thought we would be immune to the sometimes harsh, unforgiving economy. After all, my husband had a great degree from the Air Force Academy and a skill set to the moon and back. And yet, his skills and degree weren’t enough to save us from 2 companies going under with no warning. We were left scrambling to pay bills and sold our home 1 day before it went into foreclosure. During that time, my health began to decline with all the added stress of finances, raising 4 kids, loosing my mom to breast cancer, and loosing my grandmother a year later. The icing on the cake came when our house burned down in the Black Forest Colorado fires.
We were left to completely start over in every area. I went from being a very spontaneous, adventurous person to not wanting to do anything except lay on the couch. I had no mental or physical energy … I wasn’t living; I was only trying to survive. For years, we had been praying for a way to help our health and finances. And then one day about a year and a half ago, my longtime friend Betsy Waters told me about this amazing product and company called LIMU. After hearing that it was one of “those” companies, I said, “thanks, but no thanks.” Surely God wouldn’t answer my prayers that way!
8 months of blowing off her invitations went by, when finally at an all-time low with both health and finances, I told her that I would take the little money I had and would try the product. I’m super impatient, so I got a bottle from her that night and went about the task of proving that this was NOT going to be my answer. After all, I had tried EVERYTHING and nothing seemed to give me the relief and lasting results I so desperately longed for. But after just a short period of time, my brain fog was gone; I was getting to sleep, staying asleep and waking up refreshed! I had more energy than I had had in years, and even went to the gym and did an MMA class. I was on cloud 9 and knew I had to share this with anyone that would listen. I wanted in the business. Even though I had never really done anything like it before, I knew that I had to share this answer to prayer with others.
One problem, though: I didn’t have the startup money. My dear 16-year-old son saw the difference in me and offered to loan me the money – what a precious kid he is! I borrowed the money and dove in head first. We were very strapped for money so we sold our nice car, paid bills and started the rest of our family on this LIMU experience - best decision ever! In only two months of sharing this gift of LIMU, I earned my free BMW. I was in awe, replacing the car we sold for a pretty sweet free ride! Three months later I hit 50K and my husband qualified for his free BMW.
For us the cars are great, but it’s really what they represent: restoration. We’ve lost a lot in our lives and God is using LIMU to restore some of what has been lost. I’ve seen unbelievable restoration in my health, as well as in countless number of friends. Our finances are being restored and it’s so fun to be helping other people find restoration in their health and finances. I’m so thankful for how God answers our prayers even though it may look completely different than we think or expect. I am looking forward to these next few months, as I know that my team will reach every goal they set for themselves!
