My husband and I both have really good jobs. But like most people, we were still living paycheck to paycheck and just couldn’t seem to ever get ahead, so I decided to go back to school with the hope of increasing my pay to help make ends meet.
I spent most of my day driving to and from school, fighting traffic before coming home and diving into my books all night. My husband and I rarely spent any time together and it felt like we were roommates instead of husband and wife. And due to my stressful lifestyle, I didn’t have time to eat right or exercise so I had to put my health on the back burner. I had zero energy, gained 12 pounds and my doctor was threatening to put me on cholesterol medication.
And then life really threw me a curve ball - my youngest sister was diagnosed with a brain tumor and my biological father, who suffered from depression, took his own life. That was a true turning point for me. I started to evaluate my life and wondered where had the time gone? I’m now midway through my 40’s and I feel like I’m stuck on this hamster wheel of life, not going anywhere. I soon realized I was only living about a third of my life and the other two thirds were spent working, going to school and sleeping. Simply put, I wasn’t happy - I was just going through the motions. Our time on earth is limited and I didn’t want to continue reliving ground hog day over and over. I told my husband about the feelings I was struggling with and we both decided that something had to give. That week I made the difficult decision to withdraw from school in order to focus on my marriage and start living a life that’s true to myself, not the life others expected of me.
LIMU was presented to me about a year ago, the day after I withdrew from school. Coincidence? I think not - I don’t believe in coincidences. Even though I’d never worked in the network marketing industry before, I decided to take that leap of faith because I didn’t want to be 65 years old still living with regrets. I wanted more time to spend with my family and to get back in touch with friends that had enriched my life. The leaders in this company promised they would lock arms with me, show up for me and help me build my business and they did just that.
I took a chance and made the $500 Fast Track Pack purchase to go into business for myself but not by myself. Within six months with the help of our awesome team, we were car qualified and now have a beautiful black BMW that LIMU pays for. Having a car payment gone from our monthly bills is huge. And with LIMU we make enough extra income to pay our mortgage, which gives us some breathing room and allows us to take a vacation without having to budget every last dime.
When I said yes to LIMU I had no idea what I actually had in my hands. There’s another side to LIMU I never expected - the amazing friendships I’ve made along the way. Not only have I reconnected with some of my dearest friends but I’ve made new friendships that will last a lifetime. My marriage is stronger than ever, I have the energy of a 20 year old, I get to spend time with my mother whenever I want to and I’m very grateful for the bond that I share with my step-mom since she joined LIMU, especially since she’s widowed. Every once in a while I reflect and wonder “what if” I had been too afraid to step out and take a chance on this LIMU thing. Then I remember, it would still be groundhog day.
I thank God every single day for giving me the courage to step out in faith and change the course of our life. I will never take another day for granted. LIMU truly is redefining the American Dream by allowing normal people like us to take a stand and live life on our own terms. Everything this company promised it would do for me, it absolutely has. We’re so excited for our future and the future of this awesome team!
