As we near the holidays, we’re reminded that every person who has been blessed has an opportunity to be a blessing in the lives of others. So it is with all of us in the LIMU family.
Thanks to our Members, we are able to share our blessings with those less fortunate through LIMU Gives: For Goodness Sake, our charitable initiative. Funded by a percentage of our product sales, LIMU has generously supported a number of charities since the company was founded in 2003. This season, we highlight two particularly worthy causes LIMU continues to support on behalf of our Members:
Ronald McDonald House Charities. The Ronald McDonald Houses around the country provide a “home away from home,” offering comfort and care to families of seriously ill or injured children being treated at local hospitals. No family is ever turned away for being unable to pay the suggested donation of $15 per night. Through their Share A Night, Light A Light program, sponsors and individuals can make donations and spread the word. LIMU is a 2010 Platinum Sponsor and you can join us with a donation at www.shareanight.org
How To Donate
1. Click on the ‘Donate’ tab in the upper right hand corner of your screen.
2. Choose your donation amount, anything from $15 on up.
3. Fill in your name, address and other information, making certain to write LIMU as your organization and, when asked how you heard about the Online Caring Community, choose “Lead Sponsor.”
4. That’s it! You’re finished!
Orlando Union Rescue Mission. Since 1948, the Orlando Union Rescue Mission (OURM) has made a significant difference in the lives of homeless families and individuals in Central Florida. The homeless and working poor of our communities come from varied backgrounds; families are currently the fastest growing segment of the homeless population. This year, LIMU will once again participate beyond its monetary contribution; members of our staff will assist in feeding over 1200 guests from the streets of Orlando at the OURM’s Great Thanksgiving Banquet this month.
