Ryan Barson- To be or not to be

One of the most famous quotations from the world of literature comes from William Shakespeare’s Hamlet. “To be, or not to be” is that famous opening line of a soliloquy from act three. It’s one we’re largely familiar with, too.

In the play, the tragic protagonist shares his thoughts with no one in particular (and at the same time with the entire audience) as he faces his internal struggle. The question he’s asking himself is about choice and the subsequent consequences that will inevitably follow, for better or for worse. Should he choose the challenge and pain of life and living or should he go down another path, a very different one altogether? That’s his conundrum.

For us at LIMU, that question is very similar, though the contrast need not be so stark. It applies no matter where you are: who will you choose to be? Will you take the steps necessary to become the leader you know you can become? Or, adversely, will you sit back and never know what or who you could be at your full potential? That’s your choice. And it’s my choice. We simply need to take that first step, that first leap, forward … then continue to take another and another. Our journey has to start somewhere.

So, LIMU Nation, answer the question the way you know it ought to be. Become the leader you know you can and will become.
