Organizations everywhere are making decisions that reduce their impact on the environment. We’re doing it at LIMU, too. We have—individually and collectively—a responsibility to the planet and to the generations who will occupy it.

Every day, we make decisions about many things: what to eat, what to wear, how to get to work. It’s time we thought about the impact of those decisions. Do we buy takeout food in disposable containers? Do we wear clothes that must be dry cleaned? Do we drive a car—alone—to work?

Wise use of non-renewable resources, and recycling what we do use, isn’t just politically correct, it’s necessary to preserve the foundation of our livelihood. At LIMU, we’re recycling now more than ever. Did you know that recycling just one aluminum can saves enough electricity to run a television for three hours? And recycling just one glass bottle saves enough electricity to power a 100-watt bulb for four hours! Think of what you could accomplish recycling your case of LIMU ORIGINAL® bottles each month!

There’s a lot we can do to improve our experience. Look around. Fill the recycle bin instead of the trash bin. Take the bus to work, or get a carpool going. Use a coffee mug instead of a Styrofoam cup. Turn off the lights when you leave a room. It may not sound like much, but what if everyone in LIMU Nation did it?

At LIMU, we take our responsibility to the planet seriously. It’s what led to revisiting our product and its packaging. We discovered we could minimize waste to the environment by rethinking our packaging. This is the reason we’re placing our flagship product, LIMU ORIGINAL®, in a new, eco-friendly plastic bottle.

We’ve used the highest quality PET plastic (PET standing for polyethylene terephthalate, a plastic resin and a form of polyester). It has the No. 1 recycle code and its recycled material is the most widely used material in a variety of goods. What’s more, we use less material and energy in our packaging and manufacturing. PET is an inert plastic and does not leach harmful materials into its contents—either when a beverage is stored unopened, or when bottles are refilled or frozen. We have invested in all of these areas to maintain our position as the leader in the market for Fucoidan and an experience for individuals to look better, feel better and live better.
